Nice to see another 2 day event -- I really enjoyed that format.

If the horses felt to sad to race in May and June, I would put some our events there. That's an unlikely tho. dry.gif We might get something in Calgary for May and June, we do not know yet.

There will be no winter autox date for us, because Matt could not get a hold of anyone for the RCMP rental(Nov-Dec). CSCC ran a pretty good program from Jan-April therefore there is not much reason for SASC to re-invent the wheels.

Could this "something" that you speak of be in Currie Barracks? I'm really hoping that there would be events at Currie Barracks for next year.

Thanks for keeping us up to date!

No, it won't be Currie Barracks.

We would obviously rent it if we could.

I didn't update any post. Anyway, Rod brought to my attention that CSCC has their wcma event booked against our date. So there probably won't be a July 5 event. We are considering holding a close club test and tune event on July 4 if there are enough of us to cover the cost of the day. Nothing is set in stone. Leave a line here if you are interested.

At this time we cannot confirm a Calgary venue, but it looks somewhat promising that we may confirm a new venue in Calgary in the next couple of weeks.

As soon as any new venue is confirmed, it will be announced here.

Oh.... unsure.gif

I thought it had a bunch of Calgary dates in there that had been eliminated and the events re-numbered; good to hear it is not totally finalized with a potential Calgary site we can use.

I would be VERY happy to see if you guys can secure some Calgary venues!

Yes indeed we have.

We're also in discussion, if we do not have enough volunteers to "commit" to certain role for the events (before we book the venue), we won't be having a season this summer.

Thanks. Your help will be much appreciated.

We will come out with a more concrete list of positions with description of what's evolved. It just happened that most of our core team has a lot of things on their plate this year, we would not be able to pull it off a season if it is just up to us. sad.gif

I am considering capping the entry to our event this year esp. in Calgary for better control of the events. Therefore volunteers with a dedicated position will always have a spot reserved for them. I think that at the very least fair to the helpers. Less people => more runs too. wink.gif

If the economy keeps going this direction it looks like I might have a LOT of free time to help out laugh.gif

I will put the word out with some of the folks I know to see if we can drum up some additional volunteers

Would posting up something on the CSCC boards help?

My commitment for scoring and timing is solid. I'll even guarantee scoring results for events that I wasn't able to attend (at least if I am still at home). BTW, Jo will help me with scoring (as well as other things). I don't know how many events she will attend with me as co-driver (other commitments sometimes interfere).
