2009 Hoosier Tire Group Buy Options

We are doing another Hoosier Tire Group Buy for all Alberta-based WCMA affiliated club members.

Note the group buy will only occur if we get a total of 50 tires purchased.

On the prices below, there are NO HIDDEN COSTS.

They are in Canadian dollars and include all shipping/brokerage fees. The tires will be available for pickup at my Calgary warehouse, although we will also be arranging for them to be available for pickup in Edmonton for those from Edmonton.

The prices are essentially the same as last year when you factor in the horrible exchange rate we are now faced with.

GST (5%) will be added to the cost.

To purchase tires, we will need a $75 dollar deposit per tire, with the balance owing when the tires arrive. You can pay the deposit via mailing in a personal check or via an interact transfer through your online banking.

If we do not get 50 tires sold, all checks and interact transfers will be returned. I will be placing the order once we have sold 50 tires, so the sooner we have orders the sooner we will get the tires.

If you know of anyone in your club who does not use the forums, please pass this on to them, since the more buyers we have the better chance we have of the group buy happening.

hey jay, what are the chances these will be here before the test&tune on april 12th?

I know that it's unsafe to ship r-comps before the weather warms up; you certainly don't want them to freeze overnight in some cargo truck.

I also wonder about the likelihood of the April 4th event happening, especially if it keeps snowing like this. Has anyone looked at the lot in Lethbridge to see how much snow is still piled up?

AFAIK there is no April 4 event., but we will see you in a week after that.

For the last couple of year, temp. on the easter weekend at lethbridge was around 20C. (touch wood)

I'm not sure. They don't know the date they will arrive yet. I think it is unlikely, but I should find out soon. They should definately be in towards the end of the month.

the lot is clear, a few puddles here and there, but they smartened up and didn't leave piles on the lot, it was pushed to the side/grass area to melt off there.

was a gardening/farming trade show last weekend and it got fenced off for it, so lots good to go!

also it hasn't been snowing much down here, was an inch a few week(s) ago, and snowed today, but melted almost instantly
forecast says cloudy w/ snow rain and round 9 degrees... so lets hope that doesn't happen

Sounds great! I have car issues (sway bar) that will probably remain unsolved before that day, so I will probably have ti run on street tires. Sigh -- the SASC events were ones that I planned on running r-comps throughout.

On the plus side -- Bill Gendron has an upgrade kit for his sway bar that will hopefully solve all of the issues I ran into last year. I just need to get it and my tires in time -- keeping my fingers crossed.

I have all of the 15 to 17" tires in my warehouse. The 18 and 19's will be in next week.
