Please be advised that the SASC AGM is coming up on Nov. 7th/2009 October 17th, 2009. (Date changed to accommodate more members)

If you did not receive an email regarding the AGM, please contact me via PM as I may have your email details incorrect. Please include your full name (and member number, if you have it), with an up-to-date email address and I'll send out the AGM agenda and details.

Regards,
Rod

EDIT: I forgot to mention that guests are welcome (Thanks Jay and Khuyen!). Be sure to let Jay know for the BBQ portion.
EDIT2: Date changed to Nov. 7th.

One important thing to note is that the current board is not running for reelection to any positions.

The key positions to get filled are President, secretary, treasurer and Solo II director. Those have to be filled in order to run a season next year. So if anyone is interested, please come to the meeting. The current board will help any new incumbents as much as possible to ensure the transition is smooth. Also note that the SoloII director can appoint a commitee to run the Solo season and doesn't have to do all the work himself.

I emailed Rod and told him that I will let my name stand for secretary position. I will probably miss the AGM, since our current vacation plans have Jo and I in Victoria on that day.

I just got and responded to your email Murray! Thanks for stepping up!! I'm sorry to hear that you can't make it to the AGM/BBQ though...

As I mentioned to you, I'll help out the new Secretary with the transition as best I can.

Rod

Just noticed another unfortunate conflict - the WCMA AGM and awards dinner is on the same date - Oct. 17.....Sue Wilson just sent an email out the other day or so.

I'll be coming to the SASC event in any case.

Note that many people have indicated that they can't make this date, and since we need a certain amount of members to form a quorum, we may have to rebook the date.

Have you thought about an alternate date? Thanksgiving is probably not a good one....since people may be leaving town etc....spending time with family...

Maybe the next one after the 17th? Probably don't want to go too far into the fall because of weather (thinking outside BBQ).

That would work for me.

Almost any date after the 17th works for me -- unfortunate that that was the one week where I could finally take a (non-racing) vacation.

Actually the same goes for me, the 17th is a tough date for me to make it to.

Hey everyone, I've added a new post with a poll on whether we should change the date of the AGM. Please vote on the poll and let us know what you think.

Here is a link to the poll: http://sascsolo.ca/forums/index.php?showtopic=420
