Why is our new site getting targeted by these idiot spammers?

They come on here at least once a month and post a page worth of nonsense on half a dozen topics at a time.

Somebody give me a ban stick so I can kick some ass!!!

THE ENTIRE SITE IS FLOODED TODAY!!!! #%*&#(*&^%*#&*% SPAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I can't even report them because if I open a thread a huge page of porn pictures pops up... I am sure I just got red flagged by IT at work :)

Is there any way to disable pictures for brand new members?

It got bad enough for SSCC that they now require personal pre-approval for any new forum registrations. Works for me...

I've deleted the posts. Your best bet is to not even go into those threads, as the posts titles are usually pretty obvious.

Murray, it's a bit of work to approve all the new members and you are correct, that's the only way to prevent spam 100%. You are on the BOD now, if you want a change... :)
